A. D. Hoyle & Co. was formed with the principal aim of supporting specialist contractors in the engineering and construction sectors, by providing commercial professional services to a high standard, whilst ensuring that we remain competitive and give value for money.
BSc(Hons) FRICS FCInstCES FCIArb MACostE
I’ve worked in the construction industry since my teenage years; my career started as a time-served Carpenter and, following a degree in commercial management and quantity surveying (Loughborough), I became a Chartered Surveyor in 1999.
For the past twenty years my experience has been in the civil engineering, building, oil, gas and process, telecommunications and nuclear industries. I have worked mainly for large contracting organisations but I have also worked directly for a major construction client and previously for another chartered quantity surveying practice.
I have broad experience in quantity surveying and commercial management, claims and disputes including representing parties in adjudication.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (FCInstCES) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). I am also a Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (MACostE) and a Member of the Adjudication Society.
In 2020 I started A. D. Hoyle & Co. as I saw that many quantity surveying practices appeared to focus on supporting either construction clients or main contractors but that there was often a shortage of high-quality commercial support available to specialist contractors.
Specialist contractors are always vital to project success and they are vital to the industry as a whole. Therefore, I decided to use my knowledge and experience to help such companies succeed and to ensure that their projects are a commercial success.
